Really, you two are trying this again?
Yes, you're silly to think we wouldn't.
Do I need a Passport?
Puerto Rico is a US territory, no passport required. Heck, it could become the newest state in our lifetime.
What Covid precautions are you two enforcing?
The PR Dept of Health is requiring a negative test up to 48 hours prior to the plane landing, regardless of vaccination status. Due to the mutating nature of the beast, we don't have plans past that. Masks will be provided.
Alright fine, I'm coming, where can I stay?
Check the Travel page for a list of nearby hotels. You can also check vrbo/airbnb. That's how we found the venue afterall.
I heard rumors that the venue is like 2 hours away from the airport and all the road signs are in Spanish, how do you expect me to get there?
Arecibo is closer to 1 hour West of the airport, but expect traffic, so call it 1.5 hours. Yes, the signs are mostly in Spanish, not sure what more to tell you. You can rent a car or get a (probably) expensive uber/taxi.
I heard rumors that there was a party limo/car service from the airport to Arecibo?
Loose lips sink ships. But yes, the Bride and Groom are working on arranging a transport service from the airport to the venue and back for flights home. If you're interested in taking advantage, reach out to Angela for more details. Effort to figure it out will be driven by desire to make use of it.
Your wedding is only one night, but I'm on the island for a full week. Outside of the sun and sand, what is there to do?
Top priority, check out the Bioluminescent Bay on Vieques island. It's where Kevin proposed to Angela. Take a ferry from the Ceba (East coast) and visit one of the Top 3 bio-bays in the world.
Also, San Juan has a trove of tourist stuff to check out for any history or food buff.
Arecibo has several natural wonders to check out from beaches to caves.
The Yunque is a famous mountaintop rainforest.
The city of Ponce is where the famed Fountain of Youth can be found, Don Q (Rum).
