Celebrate under the stars!

October 1, 2021 ∙ Lowell, MI

We hope that you are able to come celebrate our first wedding anniversary at the lovely James C. Veen Observatory this fall! We have missed you all dearly and we are eager to see you, a year later than planned!

The Veen Observatory

The observatory is the home of the Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association. The two-dome observatory was built in the 1970s and is a multifaceted educational and research facility named after the co-founder and first president. Throughout the summer, when skies are clear, the GRAAA offers Public Nights for visitors to view the splendors of the night sky.

It was at a Public Night where Jackie and Ryan first saw Saturn together.
