We first met at a volunteer organization during our eighth-grade summer and became friends over a shared box of french fries. A few months later, we began dating and together have shared a multitude of adventures and experiences over the better part of the last decade. Reiss planned our engagement surprise for a Ginnie Springs camping trip with four other friends (Melly, Paul, Lindsey, and Everett). I knew nothing of his plans. The plan involved convincing me that our other friends were planning an engagement of their own, so when I went ring shopping with Melly before the trip and the girls all got their nails done, it felt totally natural and exciting. When Reiss popped the question on a rainy night by one of the springs on February 13th, 2021, I was so shocked and surprised! After a few long seconds, it all came together and I happily agreed as our friends came out of hiding and cheered into the night.
