Nick and Maureen first met in Albuquerque in 2013. Though they didn't start dating then, divine providence brought them back together in the summer of 2019. After several months of rekindling a friendship, they started dating in December. Nick was scheduled to move to the East Coast in March for a new job, but the distance and the pandemic couldn't come between them. Nick proposed in Virginia, near his parents home, in April of 2021.

Nick lives in Columbia, Maryland and is an engineer at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. Maureen is wrapping up her 13 year stint in New Mexico. She will continue working for herself as an orthopedic rehab specialist. She also enjoys her work helping women and couples on their fertility journeys. She will join Nick in Maryland after the wedding.

The two enjoy adventure and look forward to travelling together instead of travelling to the other! Maureen is especially excited about experiencing a new part of the US and roaming the East Coast. They love trying new food, exploring outside and learning new things together.
