FAQs

Extra details about our wedding day and surrounding events.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

We intend on an outdoor ceremony, but have a back up plan in the event of rain

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is very limited parking. We are providing transportation from the hotels and for those who want to chart their own course, the area has Ubers/Cabs for hire.

Will there be dancing?

Absolutely.

What do I need to know as it relates to COVID-19?

Updated July 2021

Weather permitting, our wedding ceremony will be outside and the reception will be in a large tent. Right now there are no mask restrictions in Massachusetts, so we are acting business as usual.

Are there any local places you’d recommend I visit while I’m in town?

While a sleepy fishing village most of the year, Gloucester turns into a busy, fun summer destination. As such, we recommend making reservations now for anything you might like to do while here for the wedding. Feel free to contact us with any questions!

Please note that if you are driving your self or taking a taxi to the wedding, you will need to allow an extra 15 to 20 minutes. There is a drawbridge that allows boats to pass from the harbor to the river and on a busy summer day you can be sitting in your car awhile waiting. There is no set schedule of when it goes up so it’s all just luck!

In addition, with the Gloucester Waterfront Festival scheduled the same weekend, there could be a traffic delay as you pass Stage Fort Park enroute to the wedding.
