Jordan and I met on a dating app called Hinge, in March 2019. I came upon his dating profile, and since I'm a sucker for men with beards, I decided to comment on his photo. He responded and we started chatting on the app. We exchanged messages for 2 weeks before our first date. On Saturday March 30, 2019 we me up at Tacolicious in Palo Alto. I was sitting in the bar area of the restaurant when I see this tall, bearded man with flowers in hand. I remember thinking to myself, "He looks much better in person!" I also had never been brought flowers on a first date. I could tell right then that this would be different.
A week later we went on our second date to dinner and a movie. We also had some really deep conversations that night that showed me Jordan wasn't afraid to have tough talks. The next night he took me to his favorite spot and asked me to be his girlfriend. I wasn't quite ready to have that label yet, so we continued to go on dates and spend majority of our weekends together. On April 14, 2019 we became offical.
Before the pandemic, Jordan and I would spend our weekends going to concerts, farmers markets, trying new restaurants, going to the movies, spending time with friends, and nights in cooking dinner.
We were engaged on Monday January 18, 2021. Because of the pandemic, we had been tossing around the idea of eloping for several months. And so we decided there was no real reason to wait since we couldn't have the typical big celebration, and to expedite getting married.
We were married in a small ceremony in Joshua Tree on Sunday 02.21.2021
