We’re pretty sure nothing endears us more than a love story of high school sweethearts. And that’s what you have here with our latest Blueprint Pair, Mackenzie and Tyler!
They met at a party when they were only 15 and 16 years old, and their first date was classic high school: Taco Bell. Fittingly, when Tyler asked Mackenzie to be his girlfriend, he did so on a Taco Bell tray, a keepsake they held onto and used in their engagement photos. Hello, cutest ever!
The proposal: This outdoorsy couple loves to hike, and were headed Vail Mountain for a long weekend. They had planned to have lunch at the top, and a hungry Mackenzie was anxious to eat. But Tyler was dragging his feet, wanting to “take in the view” a little longer. Little did Mackenzie know, he was killing time until the photographer he’d hired to capture the moment showed up. When he spotted the photographer (Rex Keep Photography), he dropped to his knee and popped the question!
The Big Day: This #BlueprintPair is tying the knot on July 1st of 2017 in New Bern, NC, at Tryon Palace. Mackenzie is most excited about the flowers, because their florist is a true artist who worked with Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry for her wedding.
What made you choose Blueprint Registry?
Mackenzie: “I had toyed with the idea of an in-store registry, but didn’t like them because I felt limited to only two or three stores. So after comparing registries online, we settled on Blueprint because it is so easy to use, and customer service is quick and super helpful.”
What’s your favorite Blueprint feature?
Mackenzie: “The Add to Blueprint button is so stinking easy to use. You can customize the title and item information.”
What advice do you have for people planning their wedding, or for building their registry?
Mackenzie: “Register early – then you can take the time to really consider which gifts you want.”
Check out the rest of Mackenzie & Tyler’s fabulous registry here. Congrats to Mackenzie & Tyler from the whole Blueprint Team!
